Alex has been a student of the game his entire life. It started with compiling NHL draft profiles as a young player - studying what separated the players who got drafted from the ones who didn't. That habit followed him through junior, collegiate and professional hockey, where he broke down film relentlessly, on his own and alongside coaches at every level. What emerged is the skill that defines his coaching today: recognizing the patterns in positioning and movement that decide games and teaching players to see them in real time.

Alex founded HockeyIQ4U in 2023 to make that way of seeing the game teachable. Since then he has delivered 500+ 1:1 Hockey IQ sessions and coached players across the OHL, Jr. A, Jr. B and AAA–AA levels, working with clients across North America, Asia and Europe - with 6+ OHL draft picks among them.
